It is God who arms me with strength, and keeps my way secure.
2 Samuel 22:33
Almost anyone you meet in this area has the same complaint: sore arms and shoulders as well as an aching back! The snow does not want to let up, here in New England; in fact the amounts recorded have been record breaking. So much so, that the National Guard has been in our neighborhoods to offer assistance where needed. As much as a lot of us may have snow blowers and plows, many do not; and each home and place of business always has an area or two that can only be cleared of these incredible amounts of snow, with a shovel and hard work! It is the only way our environment can be made safe and secure for ourselves and others. Needless to say it has been a daunting task that seems to never end, as another blizzard is forecast . . .
No matter how much one may be sore and aching, there really is no choice but to carry on. And somehow, the strength and stamina is found to do so; somehow that inner drive to keep on going when the tank is empty, continues to present itself. And we know - it is God’s loving spirit that fills us to capacity, lifting us high, shoring us up, permeating each cell in our bodies with a strength we never knew was possible, in some cases. In His arms we can be sure that He will be with us - He will carry us, until our work is complete.
For strength of spirit and soul we thank you, Lord! For keeping us safe, we are filled with gratitude! Abba! Father! We are yours!
Stay safe and warm, in heart and spirit, wherever you may be, my dear Blog friends. Happy Valentine’s Day!
